Ed McMullen is President of the Columbia, South Carolina-based McMullen Public Affairs, a strategic public affairs, advertising and issues management firm dedicated to providing a broad range of public affairs services. Areas of expertise include corporate, higher education and business association consulting; community and government relations; issues and public policy research studies; public service commission and other state and federal regulatory agency planning; issues management and strategic planning at all levels of government; multimedia advertising and marketing campaigns; third party coalition; grassroots development; political campaigns; polling; advertising; and consulting.
McMullen Public Affairs’ clients include several leading Fortune 500 corporations, small and medium sized companies, business associations addressing energy, telecommunications, health and insurance, construction and development, environmental and regulatory, and numerous other business issues.
Ed has a 25 year career in business, public policy and politics. With research foundation colleagues in nearly every state, his extensive relationships with key public policy leaders, and elected officials in the Southeast and Washington D.C., Ed is able to provide an array of contacts and opportunities for his clients.
Ed McMullen is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and where he serves as the VP of the Hampden-Sydney National Alumnus Board. He has been a policy adviser in several national presidential campaigns, as well as statewide campaigns in Virginia and South Carolina.
Ed was appointed by U.S. House Speaker John Boehner as the SC Chairman for Team Boehner and he has been appointed by state leaders to serve on several boards and commissions. Recognized for his expertise in economic development, energy and telecommunications issues and tax policy and higher education, Ed has also served two terms as Chairman of the SC Endowed Chairs Research Centers Board working closely with the state’s three research universities to attract private sector investment in the states growing knowledge based economy – most notably the ICAR (International Center for Automotive Research) project between Clemson University, BMW, Michelin and Microsoft. With his service on the Board of the SC Commission on Higher Education and three of the last four state tax study committees, Ed has played an integral role in creating opportunities between business, higher education and state government. He also served as a member of the SC competitiveness council, New Carolina, and was a leader on the nuclear power subcommittee.

Ed and his wife Margaret Ann live in Columbia with their two children, Thomas and Katie.
Cameron T. Marshall
Cameron has experience with state marketing and issues management and fundraising in the Commonwealth of Virginia and South Carolina. He has expertise in 3rd party coalition building as well as grassroots/grass tops organization. Cameron’s expertise includes research and data analysis for a broad range of issues effecting various state and federal public policy issues. Cameron’s responsibilities include demographic analysis, media relations and media buying, communications, and messaging. Cameron also executes the organizations media events, large and small. As project manager, Cameron manages McMPA’s extensive client deliverables.
