Ed McMullen

Ed has a 31-year career in public policy, politics and business.  He is currently President of McMullen Public Affairs, with offices in Columbia, Charleston and Washington DC.  McMPA is a corporate public relations and advertising firm, with an emphasis on marketing, advertising and public affairs issues.  Through his tenure at the Heritage Foundation in Washington D.C. and the South Carolina Policy Council (1986—2006), Ed has research foundation colleagues in nearly every state, as well as relationships with key public policy leaders and elected officials throughout the country. On an international level, Ed is an alumnus of the American-Swiss Foundation Young Leaders Conference (class of 1995) and has travelled extensively in Switzerland and Italy. He has been appointed by state leaders to serve on several boards and commissions.  Most recently, SC Governor Henry McMaster appointed Ed Co-Chairman of the Governor’s Transition Team.
He has served as a policy advisor in several national presidential campaigns, and statewide campaigns in Virginia and South Carolina.   In January of 2015, Ed was among the original five advisors to the Trump for President exploratory committee, which later became the Trump for President campaign, where he served as SC Chairman, member of the transition team, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
Ed served two terms as Chairman of the SC Endowed Chairs Research Centers Board, and was appointed by two Speakers of the House and Governor Beasley to serve on three different state taxation committees.  As a board member of the SC Competitiveness Council, he was a leader on the nuclear power subcommittee.  He is recognized for his expertise in advertising and marketing, corporate communications, grassroots and message development, and for providing strategic consulting on complex business and public policy issues.  Ed has served as Chairman of the Board for McMullen Holdings, a private family investment company.  He was awarded The Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina’s highest honor, by Governor David Beasley.  Ed is married to the former Margaret Ann Wade of Greenville, SC.  They have two children, Thomas and Katherine.  He graduated Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, where he now serves as Vice Chairman and Chairman-Elect of the National Alumni Association.
Cameron Marshall

Cameron’s expertise in public affairs specializes in alliance development, messaging and communications on a range of issues affecting state and federal public policy.
Cameron has experience with state campaign issues management and fundraising in the Commonwealth of Virginia and South Carolina. He has expertise in 3rd party coalition building as well as grassroots/grass tops organization.
Cameron has relationships with key media outlets across the country. He provides demographic analysis, media relations, and media buying for multimedia advertising campaigns large and small. As Project Director, Cameron manages McMPA’s extensive client deliverables. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
Jake Koferl

As McMullen Public Affairs’ Data and Market Research Analyst, Jake brings expertise in economic development and data analytics. Jake has extensive experience in data analysis, polling, marketing research and social media targeting.
Jake oversees McMPA’s extensive data analytics programs for national clients, Fortune 500 corporations, and medium sized businesses. He assists the firm with public affairs campaigns, and manages client deliverables including statewide grassroots/grass tops messaging, strategy, and alliance development.
Jake is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia with a degree in Mathematical Economics, and a focus on econometrics and data forecasting.
